"Business with Latin America" website ( 26 August 2005)

I decided to create a website instead of periodic updating of my book on Business with Latin America. It was launched on 28 August 2005 at the F Bar near Qutub Minar, New Delhi. The event was cohosted by CII and Eximbank. Minister of State for External Affairs Rao Inderjit Singh was the chief guest. A live band from Cuba "Waikiki" performed salsa music and dance accompanied by the audience.

But unfortunately I could not continue the website after 2017. I had some technical problems and have not been able to update in 2018.

Business Guides

I published the first guide for business with Brazil in 1997 when I was in Sao Paulo. I published updated editions in 1998, 99 and 2000. In my posting in Venezuela I published guide for business with Venezuela in 2001, 2002 and 2003. In Buenos Aires I published guides for business with Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. I had distributed these to Indian business chambers and export promotion councils.

I had also put them in the websites of the embassies and updated them almost every week. I did the updating myself most of the times.

The business guides were small pocket booklets which business people could carry conveniently. The guides information on the macroeconomic situation, industry, trade, business opportunities and tips for business visitors.

I was the first to publish such business guides in Indian embassies. This was appreciated by the Ministries of External Affairs and Commerce who had advised other embassies to bring out similiar guides.

Below are the covers of some sample guides
